Social worker by day, Wisconsin sports fan by night. Lindsey earned her BSW at UW-Oshkosh, focusing on social justice and followed this degree with her MSW, with a focus in trauma informed practice and human rights at Southern University of New York, Buffalo. Lindsey comes to us with a background working with youth with severe and persistent mental health diagnosis, individuals experiencing domestic and/or sexual violence, violence prevention and different realms of the child welfare system. Through these experiences, Lindsey has worked with a multitude of unique and diverse individuals, placing value in these traits and individuality in the therapeutic process. Through practice, Lindsey has developed a strong interest in incorporating non-deliberative practices (such as art, rhythm, movement, sound, and sensory approaches) and explores with clients if and how this would be beneficial in their process. Lindsey holds a strong belief that there is growth in connection and utilizes this belief while building rapport and continuing through the therapeutic process.
Though Lindsey grew up in Wisconsin, she has been in Oregon since 2017 and has been finding a sense of home while here. In her spare time, Lindsey spends most of her time with her animals, her dog Zen, Pota and Pluto her rabbit, as well as indulging her right brain with painting, creating mosaics, writing poetry, drawing, and singing like nobody is watching! Through the chains of change, Lindsey has found great comfort, meaning, and guidance from the following statement, "when you're headed in the right direction, the universe follows".

Professional Counselor Associate

I believe that every individual strives for and has the capacity for positive personal growth and change and that no one is bound to be captive to a narrative that no longer serves them. This is best achieved through a person centered approach of unconditional positive regard and empathy as well as connection, belonging and trust. I incorporate an eclectic approach through the use of these strategies and strive to provide developmentally and culturally relevant counseling services as well as trauma informed and evidence based counseling using the following techniques: Narrative theory counseling, Relational Cultural theory, Rational Emotive Behavior theory (REBT) Solution Focused and Motivational Interviewing theories and actively assisting clients in exploring and discovering their own personal values and beliefs about themselves and their own growth and change. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from Oregon Tech and a master’s degree in counseling from Oregon State University. I am currently a registered professional counselor associate working towards licensure and am actively receiving supervision by a licensed counseling supervisor. In addition to mental health counseling,  I have worked as a high school counselor for 8 years and can  provide first hand knowledge and understanding of navigating the school system. Major degree  coursework included family systems theory, socio-ecological theory, human growth and development,  trauma-crisis and grief, group and individual counseling theories and social justice and culturally  relevant perspectives. I seek to practice cultural humility in all counseling services. I have training  working with youth, adolescents and families in a variety of settings such as residential treatment  facilities, school based settings and community mental health and seek to further my training and  experience regularly. I actively assist others as I walk alongside them to find their true selves while also  addressing trauma, crisis and grief, suicidal ideation, depression, self-harm, anxiety, challenging  unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, coping skills development and personal values exploration. I have  received specialized training in stress and the affects on the brain, the effects of trauma on the body,  ASIST and QPR suicide prevention and many others. I am a mother of 3 young adult men and my  own parenting and personal journey is reflected in my counseling practice as I frequently pull from my  experience with both joys and challenges. I enjoy the outdoors with hiking, long walks, wilderness  exploration, camping, fishing, watching movies, reading, cooking and hanging out with my family.  Disclosure: As a Registered Associate with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and  Therapists, I abide by its Code of Ethics. I am supervised by Carla Stewart Donaldson, PhD, LPC,  NCC

Jane is a passionate advocate for all children and families, especially those with specialized needs and members of underserved populations. She has strong ties to the Chiloquin and Klamath Falls communities, growing up here from a young age. An interest in human development and cognition led her to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Oregon Institute of Technology. Working within the school districts as well as local early learning centers inspired her to supplement her experience with an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a master’s degree in Developmental Psychology. Jane is a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and a certified Oregon master trainer. She has worked primarily with preschool-age and elementary-age children in various teaching and administrative roles, bringing a unique perspective to treatment.

Jane’s two children are her world. Along with her husband and pets, they share many adventures in the Klamath Basin.
